Engine Company 23, FDNY - 215 West 58th Street, Manhattan, is a 2002 Seagrave,
FDNY registration # SP02011. This is a very special apparatus. A gift of Time
Warner, in tribute to the FDNY and especially to the members of Engine 23 and
their six members lost on 9/11. AOL Time Warner occupies several major
properties in the Engine 23 first alarm territory. Engine 23 is a 2002 model JB
Seagrave, equipped with a Waterous 1000 gallon per minute pump, 500 gallon
booster tank and a Detroit Diesel series 50 engine. The apparatus was placed in
service on May 2, 2002. This apparatus, with its unusual graphics and extra
trim, has one of the most distinctive appearances of any Pumper in the FDNY
fleet.
