Squad 61 became a squad company on July 1, 1998 and was formerly known as Engine 61 at 1518 Williamsbridge Road in the northeastern section of the Bronx. The original Engine 61 was organized on February 1, 1896 in the quarters of Engine 1 of the Williamsbridge Volunteer Fire Department. The chiefs of the 20th Battalion are also located in these quarters. They responded to 2,646 alarms in 2002, of which, 1,749 were working fires.

Each model is pad printed with the standard FDNY graphics, as well as
specific graphics and logos from each individual Squad Company.
Limited edition size of only 3000 sets.
Specially hand crafted wood display complete with die cast medallions of each
Squad Company logo. FDNY full color logo plate and precision cot grooves to hold
each model in place can be purchased.
