About the Department
The Beverly Hills Fire Department is proud to be one of only a few departments
in the nation that carries the elite distinction of being rated a "Class 1"
department by the Insurance Services Office.
The Beverly Hills Fire Department administers the following: Public safety
services related to the protection of life and property against fire and other
disasters.
Maintains the City Council authorized level of service and ensures that all
operations, programs and procedures are conducted in a safe, efficient and
cost-effective manner. Provides fire prevention, fire suppression, emergency
medical, and ambulance transportation services, as well as responding to
hazardous materials incidents. Conducts a variety of public education programs
to promote fire safety and emergency preparedness throughout the community.
The Beverly Hills Fire Department is organized into five divisions:
